The E-4B Advanced Airborne Command Post, has been extensively augmented by ART. ART's Advanced Projects Group has worked to provide numerous upgrades to the communication and security systems aboard this aircraft. Among the improvements made is the Multi Layer Security system (MLS), which allows easier dissemination of classified materials through their individual channels.

ART continues to play a key role in modernizing critical infrastructure elements of the E-4B serving as a highly survivable, command, control and communications center supporting the National Airborne Operations Centers (NAOC) mission set. ART's unique core competencies allow for the successful delivery of integration/support services and critical mission communications systems to support the NAOC. This crucial support ensures the national decision makers and the Joint Chiefs of Staff are able to direct U.S. forces, execute emergency war orders and coordinate actions by civil authorities during national emergencies.
